Overview of festivities in 2020
January
Review of the participation action on Sunday 19 January 2020
The encouragement on the "1st Action Afternoon: Signaller in
station Lüneburg" we had not expected that way, because we
were literally overrun. Countless young and old
Fingers pressed the buttons on the track diagram control tables.
Therefore we have additionally installed the Buchholz and
HS (Hamburg Central Station) for spectator operations
It was run on the MEHEV timetable, which is modelled on the daily
routine of the original and the development of the vehicles
(from historical steam locomotives, "Schienenzeppelin" and
"Fliegender Hamburger" to the modern IC and ICE).
PS: only in one point we deviated from the great example, our visitors dispatched the trains on time and there were no train cancellations. Many thanks to Horst St. for idea, advertising and execution. To place the poster stand (stopper) in the entrance hall, was also a great idea. With this, it was possible to specifically point out the participatory action. Also many thanks to the comrades-in-arms: Bert, Jörn, Dimitrios, Michael K., Carsten and Achim, as well as the many employees of the Museum of Hamburg History, who supported us in the smooth guidance of the over 300 visitors. |

Review of the participation action on Sunday 16 February 2020
The join-in campaign on 16 February 2020, which will take place
during the regular demonstrations of the traffic-historical
model railway layout were well attended by over 300 visitors.
But this time we were well prepared. On "normal" Sundays
about 200 people come to see our facility. MEHEV members explained to the curious visitors function and operation of the track diagram control panels and the handling of our timetable. Unfortunately, the operation was not exemplary, because there was only a one-minute delay overall. Many were also only there to get an impression, what happens behind the scenes at the staging yard. All in all it was a successful day.

Stand: 13.03.2020 7:48 pm - NDR 90,3
Coronavirus: No operation in cultural institutions
Due to the spread of the novel coronavirus, all state cultural institutions in Hamburg will cease operations as of Saturday. In addition to the state theatres and concert halls and the Kulturfabrik Kampnagel, the new regulation affects the houses of Hamburg's museum foundations. These are the Hamburger Kunsthalle, the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg, the Museum am Rothenbaum, the houses of the Stiftung Historische Museen Hamburg, the Archäologisches Museum Hamburg and the Bergedorfer Museumslandschaft.
Therefore there is no demonstration operation on the model railway layout and participation action has to be postponed.
